Activity2.1Creating Consistent Messages:
Show the parent the health regulations, outside food cannot be brought into any Early Childhood Service Center. Oklahoma Department of Human Services Licensing Standards for child Care Centers. This situation can be viewed as a temporary basis until the family has found some one to care for the family member on Fridays. Let the other staff know it will be just temporary until the employee finds other solutions to a problem of life circumstances that they may need one day as well.
Activity 2.2
Handling Confrontation:
When approaching this co-worker to confront them to resolve why they would take your plans remain non-emotional. Suggest that if they need some help or ideas that you would be glad to help them, but please don't just take your plans like that it is not something one co-worker should do to another co-worker.
Scenario 2:
Letting the parent know that you are sorry this happend. If knowledge of this incident was known it would have been documented and reported to them yesterday. If the father is not satisfied with this response he may talk with the Director to resolve any concerns or issues about reporting any incidents in the Child Care Center.
