Journal Entry Two
Activity 1.1
Identifying your Audience:
Current students; families; staff;
future students; families; child. Families entrusting the child care center
with their children, and in return neighbors; vendors are all considered your
audience. These are people who currently patronize your business. This is the
audience that needs the most information about your center. Happy children and
content families are your best advertisement. Child Care Facilities dont want a
child leaving there center with stories about a terrable day.
Activity1.2
Additional Conversation:
Important information for upcomming
events should be clearly communicated to all staff members in advance.
Logistical problems should have been anticipated and dealt wiyh proactively.
Activity 1.3
Define who you are:
How do you visualize your business?
A Child Care Center that makes the
transition from care given by the family to the care given by the center as
easy as possible. To have properly trained staff in reconizing and counseling
an unhappy child. Families entrusting the child care center with their
children, and in return they will be assured that their children are happy, and
thriving. Having employees who are informed, who feel that they are able to
make a contribution, and who are trusted to interact with children and their
families. I would like to consider my Child Care Center affortable. If the rates
are higher the advantages would be the number of staff to children would not
just be the required number of staff and educational materials for the children
to have fun with while learning.
Academically oriented:
Yes, academically oriented would be
something the families would recognize by information provided by teachers.
Also how the progress of each child should be recognized by families as their
child grows and develops with each stage.
Policies, Programs, and Curriculm
identify your program:
Having highly trained, dedicated
staff who strives to make this program of the highest quality. Teaching staff
having all been trained extensively in child development, and completly
invested in ensuring children recieve the best early educational experience available.
Educational Curriculum:
To believe that curriculum models
should be designed as framework that guides teachers involvement. Ensuring
using creative curriculum, teachers are better able to meet children's social,
and language development needs.
Strengths of the center:
Educational services; nutrition
services ;transition training; educational curriculum; intrest centers in the
classroom; ongoing education for staff.
Improvements; parent education and
participation; parent communication; poorly informed staff; providing
inconsistent messages.
